The base story is not bad and I believe that if better worked, it could make a good book.Nonetheless, the writing is not very good and it made me feel bored most of the time. It's very simplistic and repetitive. It fails in making us feel the story. It says everything that is happening but doesn't engulf us in the story at all. This is especially true in the fighting descriptions that ended up making me doze off. It also has much more typos and syntax errors than it should as a published book.
The romance in the story is so cliché that in some parts I felt I was reading a (not very good) teen's romance. I also think the characters are underdeveloped, or under-explored if you prefer.
I actually spent most of the book considering if I should finish it or put it aside. I ended up finishing it but am not able to feel interested in continuing the series.
This is one of those books that make me sad because the potential is there, but it definitely needed much more work to become a good book.

The Gauntlet of Feona Curse of The Seventh Sword Book 1 edition by Kelechi Agu Children eBooks Reviews
I read a lot of books in a year, and I'm always pleasantly surprised when I find a new book with few reviews that's good. The author's blurb is an accurate description of the book, even if it does sound a bit generic. The book is a pretty typical fantasy novel (which for fans of the genre isn't a bad thing), and generally just better done than most new author, independently published fantasy books available for kindle. I look forward to the next book in the series and I would encourage any fantasy fan to give the book a try.
Good story line with lots of room to grow. I am very much looking forward to the next one in the series.
Not a bad book. Somewhat simplistic. Lot of fighting, but something lacking in description of fights. Either the writer'style developed and improved toward the end, or I grew accustomed to the style.
For a first time writer this book is well written with a great imagination.
The only complain I have that 70 % of this story consists a every drown out step by step detailed fighting's.
If you like reading this type of the story, then I highly recommend it.
I never did note what the curse of the seventh sword was, but I did slog my way through the work. I thought the writing style to be a bit juvenile, although the book is not. I also thought the plot sort of jerked around. The author should get a better cover and format it like the rest of the fantasy books. It's odd shape is a little bit of a turn-off. Although the book is readable, I'm not sure if I will invest the time to read the sequel.
Kelechi Agu has penned a fantastic story filled with imaginative and well likable characters like Davydd Miljorn of Angweleth, a hero who quests to save mankind. Turning the pages, I became lost in the fantasy of the story which was full of action by the way. I highly recommend, 5stars!
I don’t read a lot of fantasy stories, but this one is a welcome change for me. I like how the author creates this imaginary world and peopled it with these characters that are larger than life, especially, Davydd. It was fun to read the exploits of Davydd’s and his group of well-developed characters on their mission to save this all important artifact. It makes for a very entertaining read. Lovers of fantasy will enjoy this book.
